About Us

Allans of Petworth has been clothing the gentlemen (and some ladies) of West Sussex and beyond for more than 60 years. We are essentially a menswear shop but as a Dubarry stockist we sell quite a few pairs of boots and coats to ladies too! I (Jan) bought the shop in 2012 and have thoroughly enjoyed assisting everyone that I welcome into the shop, in their quest to look smart.

As an independent retailer we work very hard to ensure that your experience is personalised, carrying an extensive range of stock. If we don’t have what you want, we will do our best to source it for you.

We are very fortunate to be able to carry out all alterations in house. I do all of our alterations to ensure everything fits perfectly.

We (Jan & Chrissy) hope that you will be able to visit us in the very pretty and historic market town of Petworth in the not too distant future.
